Description:

Financial Controller
Trust in Motion
We are currently seeking an autonomous and ambitious Financial Controller. Based in Sydney, to lead end to end financial scope for one of our projects.

Fundamental roles and responsibilities which are inherent to the position:

  • Direct the economic-financial evolution of the Company, in accordance with the guidelines set by the General Director, with the objective of implementing corrective measures to correct deviations in objectives and actively participating in the profitability study of the different business opportunities.
  • Report business operational indicators and monitoring of plans to CAF and Stakeholders.
  • Report to the headquarters the evolution of project budgets, as well as the risk and actions detected in them.
  • Establish the cost strategy in the company, as well as its cost structure.
  • Analyse and control the profitability of the company and business.
  • Prepare the annual budget, annual accounts and financial statements of the group companies and their subsequent control.
  • Prepare studies, analyses and financial reports.
  • Assist in optimizing information systems, defining KPIs and group processes.
  • Prepare information and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Support the management of documentation for R&D projects.
  • Contribute to the company’s strategy in all areas (technical, marketing, commercial, finance, etc.).
  • Monitor, measure and report the development of strategic plans in accordance with the established formats and time.
  • Negotiation and closing of purchases from suppliers and service subcontracts.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner in line with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality consciousness. Advise management of any changes in materials, plant or processes which may impact on safety, quality or the environment, as well as any improvements that could advance CAF’s quality and environmental performance.

Profile:

  • A thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures supported by CA or CPA qualifications.
  • Must have strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • High level of organizational and analytical skills.
  • Integrity and ethics and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong Microsoft Office® skills particularly with Microsoft Excel®
  • Proven experience with Finance software’s, such as SAP® or BAAN® (Finance Modules)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high performance work environment.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
  • From five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience in a medium size International entity.
  • Big 4 experience preferred from 2 to 4 years, desirable.
  • Corporate & State Taxes exposure for a minimum period of 2 years.
  • CPA required, desirable.
