FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Location: Berlin

Reporting to: Finance Director (DDB UK & DDB Health)
A little bit about the opportunity…
We’re looking for a Financial Controller to be the driving force behind monthly reporting to the Omnicom Group as well as proactively drive improvements in processes and controls and improve the quality of data and reporting available to the business. This is a unique position where it will have exposure to 2 Omnicom agencies (DDB Health and DDB UK)

Responsibilities:

  • P&L Analysis & month end reporting: Support to FD/CFO on overall month-end actuals and forecasting process.
  • Balance sheet - analysis & resolutions. Responsible for all AP,AR and WIP management.
  • Costs controls. Ledger analysis & budget holder discussions, improved reporting and forecasting.
  • Lead timesheet analysis and reporting ensuring utilisation and profitability are maximised throughout the business.
  • Internal controls, SBOX & KPMG audit support
  • Aura, Omnio and MediaOcean approvals
  • Cashflow management & FX management
  • Relevant tax submissions.
  • Intercompany recharges. Calculating annual shared cost and monthly payroll recharges, recharging other costs on WIP to these parties. Preparing recharges forecast and instructing necessary accruals.
  • Payroll. Support to FD in reviewing and approving monthly payroll reports; preparing monthly payroll forecast.
  • Review the output of the shared service while building a strong working relationship with the team to ensure best practice is upheld.
  • Review billing, ensuring this is delivered in a timely manner and is appropriately recognised.
  • Managing productions from start to finish, making certain pay when paid is adhered to.
