Description:

Role: Financial Controller
Location: Melbourne CBD, Australia
Company: International eCommerce Business
Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management and reporting for our global eCommerce operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to drive performance and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations to optimise business performance.
  • Standalone role initially with a view to building out a team in time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CA qualification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in a multinational environment.
  • Ideally a strong understanding of eCommerce operations and financial principles.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
