REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years experience supporting financial statement audit and/or audit remediation through continuous improvement of processes, internal controls, accounting, reporting, and/or governance to improve the accuracy, accountability, transparency, and integrity of our client’s finance operations.
  • 2+ years experience maintaining, enhancing, and evolving financial business and accounting business process to improve financial management, analysis, reporting, and auditability across the enterprise.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. This may include overnight travel.
  • Expected to co-locate in your designated office/USDC location up to 30% of the time.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Must live in a commutable distance to or be willing to relocate to one of the following Delivery locations: Gilbert, AZ; Lake Mary, FL; Mechanicsburg, PA

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education Preferred: Business Degree (e.g., accounting, finance, operations management, or related field)
  • Prior consulting experience in the Public Sector
  • Possess knowledge of and experience with accounting regulations and processes
  • Excellent attention to detail as well as strong oral, written, presentation, interpersonal, and client-facing skills.
  • Well-developed troubleshooting skills, ability to analyze details and synthesize “big picture” concepts, frequently working with incomplete or ambiguous data.

Responsibilities:

Provide financial operational accounting, analysis, reporting, and process improvement support to the client’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) and/or associated mission organizations in one, or more, of the following service areas:

  • Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR): Support audit remediation through continuous financial improvement of processes, internal controls, accounting, reporting, and governance to improve accuracy, accountability, transparency, and integrity in finance.
  • Digital Finance Operations: Sustain and optimize innovative digital finance solutions (i.e., data visualization, dashboarding, modeling, analytics, apps, RPA, AI, ML, and NLP) to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of budget and finance operations.
  • Financial Reporting: Maintain, enhance, and evolve dynamic dashboarding and financial reporting to incorporate data into budget execution and to improve financial management, analysis, and reporting across the enterprise.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Facilitate activities by tying financials to operations, deliver analytical insights into our clients’ strategic plans, programs, and budgets, deliver transparency into execution, and drive data-based decision-making.
