Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
Working with the Financial Information Systems manager, use accounting/finance knowledge in conjunction with an enthusiasm about advancing technology to utilize and maintain finance software, obtaining needed information in appropriate formats. Coordinate data transfer from one financial system to another in order to gain specialized reporting/analysis. Use accounting knowledge to generate, calculate, and validate financial reports. Utilize technology system experience to streamline and standardize all processes as well as expand financial system utilization through full configuration and deployment. Work with software vendors to keep finance software versions updated and fully configured Assist with all other Financial Information Systems team responsibilities, such as physician compensation computations, financial report creation and completion, and other accounting duties as required. MUST HAVE ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE AND BE TECHNICALLY PROFICIENT.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Two year associates degree in a finance/accounting related field, or two years of experience related to the position.
- Must have both accounting and technology experience.
- Possess a high level of competence with Microsoft tools, such as Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, etc.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
- Technical skills associated with duties listed within this job description. Must be competent in all assigned areas.
- Willingness to complete further finance/technology education or certification as required by the department.
- Must demonstrate effective communication skills as required for this position – ability to explain technology and its usage in non-technical language.
