MET’s Flexibility Asset Division is responsible for development and execution of the Group’s strategy to support the energy transition by owning, operating and optimizing flexible dispatchable assets, ideally creating synergies across the managed portfolio. In addition to operating our existing asset base, we continuously evaluate new opportunities to expand the Divisional portfolio. We focus on flexible dispatchable technologies such as gas engines/ CHP (combined heat and power) and CCGT (combined cycle gas turbine) plants, as well as other asset types such as gas storages, batteries and aggregator platforms to fulfil our strategic vision.
We are looking for a Financial manager to support the establishment of a capacity Aggregator Company and virtual power plant in Hungary. The newly established company is set to manage flexible capacity of MET’s Hungarian assets, such as Dunamenti Power plant gas turbines, existing and future battery electricity storage assets, power-to-heat unit, as well as third-party CHP and renewable generation assets. The objective of the role is the professional and full-scale management of the financials of the ‘Aggregator Company’, supporting operative and strategic decision making, meeting legal and internal policy requirements.

Job Description

  • Day-to-day financial management of the Aggregator Company
  • Representing/ advocating the company’s economic interests,
  • Ensuring the Aggregator Company’s business objectives are met, in line with legal requirements and the highest professional standards,
  • Reports, financial statements are completed accurately on time (in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS), in full, corresponding to reality,
  • Preparing forecasts, balance sheet and cash flow plans,
  • Managing annual business planning process,
  • Optimising and driving financial and business processes,
  • Liquidity and collateral management
  • Preparing materials for business decisions,
  • Keeping in touch with other internal divisions, internal and external partners,
  • Performing additional tasks - as required - in relation to MET’s activity and operation.

Qualifications

  • College/ University degree in Economics/ Finance
  • 8-10 years of professional experience (focus on accounting, controlling, treasury)
  • Strong analytical ability and financial knowledge
  • Being able to work independently
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and leadership capabilities
  • Strong drive for financial control & compliance
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain financial plans
  • Understanding general business risks and how to mitigate them within a multinational environment
  • Native Hungarian, excellent command of English
