Description:

Norse Atlantic Airways is offering low-cost long-haul fares on our uniform fleet of modern Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Since 1st July 2023 we are the largest transatlantic operator from London Gatwick, serving sixteen destinations, including New York, Los Angeles, Florida, Bangkok, Barbados, and Jamaica.
We have made a new role based with our technical team at Gardermoen, reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis located in Arendal, with great challenges!
As an international airline, we have huge operating and technical costs, and consequently we also might have huge opportunities for improved efficiencies, processes, and cost savings. This is where you come into the equation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Around 5 years in a position such as Business Control, Cost Controller or Financial Analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree: Finance/Engineering/Business Administration/Economics, or similar
  • High level of curiosity and an itching urge to find out things.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced experience in MS Excel
  • Airline, aviation, or technical operations experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

IN ADDITION TO THESE CHALLENGES YOUR DAY-TO-DAY JOB WILL INCLUDE TASKS LIKE:

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support business planning and decision making.
  • Lead the forecasting and budgeting process and variance analysis and reporting.
  • Analyze trends to identify opportunities for improvement and savings.
  • Invoicing and follow up of technical operations customers.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, making recommendations for continual progress and improvement.
  • Business partnering with other functional teams and external parties.
  • Ad-hoc financial and cost analysis. Other duties and tasks as assigned.
