Financial Planning Analyst Job Summary
Are you looking to join a growing team with lots of opportunity for growth? We are hiring for a Financial Planning Analyst! The ideal candidate for this position is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing complex data to accurately report findings to drive business impacting decisions. They will be responsible for a variety of complex economic evaluation and planning duties to support corporate planning and quality control of justification for capital expenditures. This position provides financial analysis support to department managers, participates in special projects, prepares financial data as necessary and is able to determine work priorities on their own based on project needs.

Financial Planning Analyst Core Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development of strategic plans for existing, new, or proposed business operations.
  • Provides analysis and evaluation of cost/expense problems and profit improvement opportunities existing within current business activities.
  • Recommends changes in analysis and budgetary methods and procedures; analyzes the impact of various corporate projects and transactions.
  • Analyzes and communicates weekly metrics, monthly results, quarterly and annual projections.
  • Performs and critiques economic evaluation justifications for capital expenditures.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Utilizes SQL, Tableau, and Excel to analyze complex data to deliver a concise story of current business operations.
  • Utilizes strong PowerPoint skills to communicate high level analysis in easy-to-understand formatting

FINANCIAL PLANNING ANALYST QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 Years Relative Work Experience
