The Financial Process Analyst performs financial processes and financial analysis/performance reporting related to Administrative Services stakeholders and their payments. This position also supports compliance with budget guidance, accounting rules, Federal Reserve System policies and standard operating procedures. The level of work required is considered advanced and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. This position reports to the Administrative Services Business Team Lead and does not have any direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Performs financial processes including reconciling purchases, purchase orders and invoices.
  • Analyzes reports in ERP systems such as Workday and employee time related to payments.
  • Balances general sub-ledgers for compliance.
  • Conducts analysis and research to interpret data to identify trends and resolve issues.
  • Summarizes findings, makes recommendations and prepares presentations and written reports for management.
  • Identifies inaccuracies/errors in data and makes recommendations for remedy or takes initiative to correct.
  • Develops, maintains, manipulates and analyzes spreadsheets and databases for department, extracting data from other systems as necessary.
  • Develops and maintains metrics to track performance.
  • Researches, resolves and responds to stakeholder concerns and questions.
  • Supports the customer service function and the main line coordination function.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 1 or more years of relevant work experience.
