Description:
Help AG is looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst who will be responsible for the preparation of various internal and external financial statements of all entities in the Group, maintenance of the organization’s internal controls on preparation of FS, and ensuring that all transactions and documentation comply with IFRS, IAS and ISA. This position will be accountable to produce periodic individual and consolidated statutory financial statements up to disclosures and maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records to support the financial statements. This position will ensure that reported results comply with IFRS. This is a new position within the Finance Team and the role is expected to develop over time.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting.
- CPA/CA Required and recent 3 years Big 4 Audit experience, TMT industry knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of best practices in internal controls.
- Strong technical IFRS knowledge is required combined with the ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work, establish and execute plans to meet tight deadlines, multi-task and work under pressure with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate well with others and reconcile differences among resources/departments.
- Ability to speak and write in English is required; Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred.
- Takes initiative and ownership of work.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and distribution of separate and consolidated financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy.
- Manage monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts.
- Complete ownership of quarterly external audits and coordination with Management Accountants.
- Manage communications with external auditors on financial statements and accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures, and issues.
- Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls.
- Coordinate, develop and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process.
- Develop, maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
- Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure IFRS compliance.
- Coordinate with various teams and perform complex analysis and prepare reports to summarize financial data.
- Ensure compliance to all government and regulating agency reporting requirements, file quarterly forms according to current requirements and document new rules.
- Develop and maintain supporting documents for all financial reports and evaluate it for various departments and committees.
- Coordinate with various departments and prepare recurring financial reporting packages.
- Supervise revenue recognition programs and implement new methodologies, review contracts to interpret financial issues and document the same.
- Develop and implement internal financial controls for integration of closing process and financial activities of company.
- Review of any IFRS adjustments to see if recorded and documented.
- Maintaining list of all audit/reporting requirements.
- Review accounting principles – IFRS Analysis.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting requirements and accounting standards and provide solutions to changes in requirements and other related matters.
- Solve other relevant issues that may arise on an ad-hoc basis.
- Participate in finance-related projects for the continuous improvement of processes and systems.
