Description:
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting and Planning, the Financial Reporting and Planning Analyst will provide support for the Company’s quarterly forecasting and annual budget planning. This role also assists in the Company’s monthly consolidated financial reporting and provides support in the preparation of financial reports for the Audit Committee and Board of Directors. This position is based out of Enerflex’s Downtown Calgary Corporate office.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Accounting Designation with at least 3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, preferably in multi-jurisdictional and multi-currency companies.
- Highly analytical and insightful with strong business acumen and experience in interpreting and communicating financial and business information
- Self-starter with strong communication skills (both written and verbal) to facilitate interaction with senior management and business unit leaders
- Experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP (ECC and BPC); experience with PowerBI will be an advantage
- Knowledge of IFRS and experience with complex accounting transactions

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly financial forecasts and annual financial budget
- Assist in the preparation of variance analysis between actual, forecasted, and budgeted results
- Responsible for drafting entries to account for new or complex accounting transactions and other consolidation entries not covered by the Company’s automated consolidation system.
- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, notes, and other disclosures
- Provide support in the preparation of Audit Committee and Board materials
- Assist in the continuous improvement of the reporting and planning processes
- Special projects and ad-hoc reports, as assigned
