Description:

We are offering a fixed-term contract (part time possible) due to a short-term replacement of an Associate II position for 12 months within the “SCD Financial & Regulatory Reporting” team in Luxembourg.
Various tasks in a highly motivated team and an ambitious client with an exclusive relationship are waiting for you.

We provide comprehensive support for our German-speaking client. (among our top 5 clients in terms of AuA). Our tasks include the following topics:

  • Financial Reporting
  • Regulatory Reporting,
  • Client End Reporting

You will work in a team of experts and collaborate with our centers of excellence in Germany and Poland as partners. As a result, we exclusively communicate with the client, auditors, authorities and internal clients.

What you will be responsible for

As a proficient team member you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of semi annual reports and coordination between client and auditor.
  • Timely completion and submission of all regulatory reports (i.e. CSSF, BCL), in alignment with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Communicate with the client, authorities and external auditors, answer and handle issues and queries and escalate as needed; acting with a sense of urgency to meet required deliverables.
  • Contribution for business transformation (technical and planning) and work with the team to ensure proper governance and controls are in place.
  • Participate in the development, testing and implementation of new systems to increase productivity through the usage of information systems and other tools.
  • Be part of central point of contact for technical issues encountered in the daily business to reduce to a minimum the number of queries to the client(s); track issue trends and escalate as needed.
  • Involvement by the adoption of new tools and solutions and strongly support technical team within the department on preparation to migration, new ideas etc.
  • Ensure review of corporate documentation of processes, procedures and controls; evaluate their continuing effectiveness and accuracy from operation and risk perspective together with the team.

What we value

Necessary Skills:

  • Fluent/very good knowledge of spoken and written German (German Client and German outputs/ reports), at least German as 2nd language.
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English, any other language will be a benefit as well.
  • PC skills with very good knowledge of MS Office (Excel).
  • Having first experience in project work / coordination will be an advantage.
  • Change management oriented.

Additional Skills:

  • Good understanding of financial services and investment products.
  • Robust knowledge of Financial Reporting and/or audit processes.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines, must be able to manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on service.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet internal and industry deadlines.
  • Enquiring mind and a willingness to investigate, be solution-oriented and curious.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and trustfully with colleagues and business partners at all levels.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • At least min 2 years of relevant experience.
  • BA/MA degree in a related field, e.g. accounting.
  • Any lateral entrant will be welcomed when it fits with the required skills.
