Financial Reporting Manager - Maternity cover - £85,000PA An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Reporting Manager to join a rapidly growing, privately-owned group. This role is at the heart of our clients success, offering the chance to lead the Financial Reporting, Tax and Treasury function across a diverse portfolio. You’ll be part of a supportive and inclusive environment.
What you’ll do:

As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the financial reporting function. Your keen eye for detail will ensure accuracy in all areas from statutory audits to cash flow forecasts. You will build meaningful relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders while maintaining compliance with UK accounting and taxation legislation. Your proactive approach will identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the department.

  • Lead the Financial Reporting function, providing coaching, support and challenge to enable development of three direct reports
  • Ensure statutory audits are completed and all corporate tax and VAT compliance are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Oversee an accurate 12 month rolling cash flow forecast produced on a weekly basis
  • Review accurate and timely reporting of management information to external banks, along with bank covenant reporting
  • Monitor internal Capex process and project spend for various developments across the Group
  • Establish strong relationships with all key stakeholders, including finance team, internal Heads of Department, HMRC, external auditors and tax advisors
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, effectively present ideas and turn them into practical actions
  • Take responsibility for balance sheet control

  • Team player who can contribute to wider group goals
  • Proactive self-starter with a positive approach to problem solving
  • Hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience of operating in a similar role leading transformational change is preferred
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) is essential
