Financial Services Manager

To be responsible for the management and operation of the Financial Services Department, including transaction processing, the technical team, systems and cashiers To ensure that corporate financial systems and disciplines are in place throughout the organisation ensuring deliverance of a professional, high quality service To make a contribution towards the development of a financial strategy, which enables the organisation to meet its business goals and to achieve statutory financial targets To give comprehensive financial support and advice to a range of senior managers, on a range of complex issues, thus facilitating effective management and financial control within the organisation. To ensure the NHS Accounts and monthly returns represent a true and fair view, meet financial timescales and legal requirements. To ensure effective treasury management arrangements are practised To deputise for the Assistant Finance Director. Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
