Description:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- CA/CPA preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in auditing and preparing GPFS and SPFS.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing regulations and accounting standards.
- Experience with financial statement preparation software (e.g., Acurri).

ABOUT THIS ROLE
Be part of our Sydney Private Business Tax and advisory Division as a Financial Statement Reporting - Associate and play a vital role in delivering precise and compliant financial statements. Work alongside dedicated team members and esteemed clients to ensure the highest standards in financial reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing accounting support to PBTA team and clients in applying specific accounting standards.
- Assist National Technical Accounting Head/Lead - PBTA in performing technical accounting research.
- Ensure financial statements meet regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Resource for PBTA team members seeking guidance on accounting matters.
- Compile GPFS and SPFS.
- Ability to apply Australian Accounting Standards applicable to clients’ businesses and industries in which clients operate.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.
- Collaborate with the PBTA team and clients for annual GPFS preparation including planning, and identification and addressing of accounting issues.
