Description:

This is a key, customer facing role critical to the provision of support to financial systems users and to the Finance Division’s reputation supporting its customers.
The University of Oxford is a stimulating work environment, which enjoys an international reputation as a world-class centre of excellence. Our research plays a key role in tackling many global challenges, from reducing our carbon emissions to developing vaccines during a pandemic.
The Finance Division supports the academic, research and administrative community at the University providing sound financial advice and timely information with a range of support services including financial operations, financial reporting, financial support and professional services.

Responsibilities:

You will be empowering the Finance Community across the University and supporting them to deliver effective financial administration by offering live system support over multiple platforms. You are critical to enabling smooth operations by managing high priority calls that affect the University’s financial systems, and reporting technical issues to the relevant service provider for investigation.
This post would suit someone with a passion for excellent customer service, and experience of working on a service desk or in a similar role with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely. You will also be technically minded, with a logical approach to problem solving.
You will report to the Financial Systems Service Desk Supervisor, and work closely with colleagues across the Financial Processes, Systems and Assurance Team and other colleagues in the Finance Division.
We welcome applications from all sections of the community.
You will be based in Hythe Bridge Street but you may be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.
