Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

This position has a Selective Placement Factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The Selective Placement Factor is: This position requires knowledge of all aspects of cost accounting under a job order cost accounting system.
In addition to the Selective Placement Factor and Basic Education requirements, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the (GS-1/4) grade level or pay band (NC-01) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1) Knowledge of Working Capital Fund accounting procedures, rules and regulations; 2) Knowledge of double entry accounting procedures; 3) Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; AND 4) Ability to process a variety of invoices.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES

  • You will receive invoices to match and verify to procurement documents and to receipt and acceptance documents.
  • You will establish and maintain appropriate files for each procurement document.
  • You will establish job order control sheets for all job orders reflected on the procurement document.
  • You will examine invoices received for propriety and mathematically verify monetary values ensure that invoices are for material or services received, and compute cash discount amounts.
  • You will ensure that freight costs are stipulated and authorized and that material received and transportation variances are authorized.
  • You will analyze each contract in detail for factors that influence payment.
  • You will periodically analyze, reconcile, and validate outstanding obligations and accounts payable for each document.
