Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

GS-07-Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:

  • Experience in support of the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, and custody of cash items;
  • Experience 2applying regulations (e.g., Appropriations Law, Prompt Payment Act) required to examine invoices, vouchers, and related documents;
  • Experience in financial management to include monitoring of commitments and obligations;
  • Experience preparing and utilizing of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to include formulas and pivot tables;
  • Experience in a range of various financial systems;
  • Experience providing financial customer support and services;

GS-06-Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:

  • Experience receiving, reviewing and/or processing a wide-range range of documents for accuracy, adequacy, and compliance of regulations for goods, services, and/or travel orders/vouchers;
  • Experience performing account maintenance and accounting support work requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies and procedures;
  • Experience performing technician work in support of budget analysis and execution such as maintain ledgers, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data;
  • Experience researching and analyzing financial reports and data files and provide assistance in interpreting and evaluating financial and accounting reports;
  • Experience preparing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/Training Briefs/Command Instructions

Responsibilities:

DUTIES

  • You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the FUNDS ADMINISTRATION DIVISION (N42), RESOURCES AND BUDGET DEPARTMENT (N4), NAVAL OCEANOGRAPHIC OFFICE, STENNIS SPACE CENTER MISSISSIPPI.
  • You will perform account maintenance and accounting support work utilizing accounting systems, policies and procedures.
  • You will receive, disburse, examine, deposit and take custody of cash items which includes handling cash items or use of cash accountability control methods.
  • You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy and compliance with regulations for goods and services provide.
