Our team is committed to creating efficient financial operations through cutting-edge technology and data-driven strategies. We are seeking a skilled FinOps Engineer to join our dynamic team and help us optimize our financial processes and systems.
As a FinOps Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our financial operations by leveraging your expertise in data engineering, financial analytics, and cloud cost management. You will work closely with our finance and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain data solutions that support our financial strategies and objectives.

Your tasks:

  • Work together with data engineering teams and architects to support financial reporting and analysis and optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing financially
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Monitor and manage cloud costs, providing insights and recommendations to optimize expenditure
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports for financial performance tracking and decision-making
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across all financial systems and processes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering, financial analytics, and cloud cost management

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a FinOps or financial services environment
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and frameworks
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with cloud cost management tools
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
  • Familiarity with financial data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with data-driven development
  • Experience with agile development methods
  • FinOps Certified Engineer by the FinOps Foundation
