Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a driven FinOps Manager with demonstrated experience building and maturing FinOps capabilities in a growth company setting. Reporting to the Director Financial Operations and Agile, the ideal candidate will need strong analytical, cross-team collaboration and multi-tasking skills.

WHAT YOU’LL DO HERE:

  • Partner with Technology and Lab to develop and evolve a high-level FinOps Strategy rollout across the organization.
  • Recommend tools that we would need to best support our FinOps function across the company.
  • Oversee and manage the FinOps team, ensuring they are performing their roles effectively and efficiently.
  • Establish FinOps capabilities including tooling, reporting, ways of working, governance, showback/chargeback, budgeting/forecasting and cost optimisation.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across IT, Business, Finance and Procurement.
  • Work closely with the IT department to plan and budget for infrastructure needs. This includes forecasting the cost of scaling the company’s cloud infrastructure.
  • Partner with various IT teams to ensure appropriate tagging and alerts strategies are deployed to manage costs and determine deviations from plan.
  • Drive unit cost optimization efforts by recommending reserved instances & savings plans, uncovering rightsizing optimizations and reducing waste.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs and dashboards.
  • Manage technology return on investment (ROI).
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management providing insights and analysis to inform decision making.
