As an Area Service Engineer, it will be your responsibility to undertake service and maintenance calls as scheduled by our Service Desk team, and small works as requested. You will also be a member of the out-of-hours on-call rota at Amberstone to ensure full coverage to our customers 24/7/365. This rota is liable to modification in its frequency.
You will be responsible for the customer base which lies within your own service area. We will endeavour to keep you within a set Service area, but there will be occurrences where we require you to work outside your normal Service area. You will always maintain levels of professionalism whilst representing the company in an approachable friendly manner, building working relationships with customer representatives at the sites where you regularly attend.
You will be required to assist in maintaining all SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) that we have agreed with customers and do your upmost to work as efficiently and professionally as possible to ensure we meet these demands.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT

You will possess a sound understanding and experience of CCTV / Intruder / Access Control /Fire systems, Amberstone will ensure that you are fully trained in the latest relevant safe working practices and training will be provided on different systems should you need it.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years experienced with Electronic Security with an NSI Gold accredited company
  • Extremely competent with the service and maintenance of all types of Fire & Security Systems including Remote Monitoring
  • Be able to carry out maintenance and fault finding to a high level on all system types
  • Successfully meet security screening requirements to BS7858:2009, DBS and Police check
  • A High level of knowledge working on manufactures such as but not limited to: Honeywell, Menvier, Texecom, Paxton,, C-Tec , Advanced, Morley, Hikvision, Galaxy and more
  • Availability to be included within the company 24 hour call out rota

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS:

  • Possess the ability to work independently and take initiative, while still being a collaborative team member.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and the capacity to make rational decisions within limited timeframes.
  • Oversee vehicle stock control.
  • consistently adhere to and responsibly work in accordance with the company’s health and safety policy.
  • Accurately complete audit paperwork and job sheets, whether manually or electronically.
  • Exhibit reliability, organization, a strong work ethic, and effective planning skills.
  • Hold a valid and clean driving license.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

Package offered: £30,000 - £45,000 OTE potential. we offer a Competitive Basic salary (depending on experience) which is negotiable with overtime and a 1 in 6 call out rota allowing for increased earning potential

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the smooth running of your designated service area.
  • To deliver a first-class service to all clients in your designated area.
  • To actively communicate any outstanding issues within your area to your Line Manager or Supervisor.
  • To actively seek to manage your area revisits (keeping them to a minimum)
  • To be an Ambassador for Amberstone.
  • To undertake any reasonable duties passed to you by the Service Team in a timely manner.
