Fire Safety Officer

Duties in support of Estate Maintenance & Property Services Support Maintenance and Property Services teams in relation to contractors providing maintenance to fire safety systems to Trust buildings & other commissioned services. Advise Maintenance and Property Services teams on fire design for capital and revenue projects to agreed pre-tender quotes Provide advice to appropriate staff, consultants & contractors to ensure that all new construction & adaptation works comply fully with Firecode. Liaise with Consultants, Architects and Fire Safety advisors etc to ensure new developments comply with appropriate regulations and Trust procedures. Participate in the Estates on-call rota, requirement to be available out of hours as part of the on-call rota Provide specialist advice on new works/refurbishments of buildings/sites/areas to ensure that all fire safety systems meet current legislative requirements Support other staff within Estates and Facilities, local fire authority and Building Control etc in the specification of fire precautions within new and existing Trust buildings.
Support other staff within Estates and Facilities to ensure that the activities of contractors working at any of the Trust sites do not subvert fire precautions or initiate false alarms in Trust premises
