We are looking for a Firmware Architect to strengthen the Smart Metering IoT solution development at our Landis+Gyr Jyväskylä office. The work itself is conducted as a part of global firmware organization with emphasis on machine-to-machine communication used in residential metering applications. In this job you will get an unique opportunity to develop embedded software in different state-of-the-art laboratory setups using the products that we design and sell.
To be successful in this position you need to have an understanding or preferably experience from following areas of engineering
- Traceable Application Lifecycle Management and related tools.
- Agile software development principles, e.g. Scrum, SAFe, etc.
- Commonly used version control tools such as Git.
- Different IDEs related to C/C++ development.
- Debugging using commonly available interfaces such as JTAG related to runtime firmware.
You have a relevant software engineering degree or equivalent, Master’s degree is preferred.
Qualities that will help you to succeed in this role:
- Interest towards cellular modem technologies in embedded system applications and motivation to become expert of this region.
- Interest towards protocols and standards used in electricity metering, such as DLMS.
- Capability of producing technical requirements for firmware applications, software specification documentation and todDesign documentation including flow charts, state machines, interface descriptions using tools such as MS Visio etc.
- Willingness to travel occasionally globally.
- Fluent communication skills using English as a preferred language.
