QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and/or Accountancy.
- 3 years Degree/ Diploma.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of the Individual Life Insurance processes and products.
- Knowledge of death claims processes will be advantageous.
- Leadership experience in managing a team of agents.
- Impact of legislation, e.g. FICA, Pension Funds Act.
Responsibilities:

- Manage Business Unit & Business Unit Performance.
- Manage Implementation of existing & new processes, services & procedures.
- Strategic Actions – Manage effective streamlining of processes.
- Manage Productivity, Quality & Work-related Problems.
- Manage Department Budget.
- Manage Staffing Process.
- Manage Individual Training & Development.
- Manage Individual Performance.
- Ensure accurate reporting.
- Resolution of queries on financial reports, control and authorisation accounts.
- Resolve audit findings.
- Complaints investigation and resolution.
- Recommendations regarding exceptional claims decisions in collaboration with death claims consultants and management.
- Interaction with various departments in and outside of Business Shared Services.
- Ensure effective management of Service Level Agreements between BSS, NUB, Distribution, Actuarial, Re-insurers, internal doctors.
- Effective communication to respective role-players.
- Focused and motivated team.
- Effective Death Claims Production Centre management.
