Responsibilities:

A great opportunity has arisen at Hovis Nottingham for a Production Front Line Manager to our team to lead and develop shift-based production activities while driving improvements. Working within a team of two FLMs per shift, managing two of four production lines and covering for the other FLM during periods of holidays and absence.

This role is responsible for ensuring the lines are operating within standard running conditions, and, that the Team Leaders are operating the continuous control systems required to maintain the standard level of performance. Key KPIs will include EHS performance, throughputs, waste, and product quality. These KPIs will be reviewed with the Team Leaders on a 3 hourly basis and the FLM will be expected to deploy timely & appropriate coaching skills where performance starts to drift away from targets.

  • Produce a daily shift report and a handover that flow into the daily metrics that the site uses for the overall daily site performance report.
  • The FLM role is cross-functional and good peer-to-peer influencing skills are expected to secure resource from other departments to solve ongoing challenges and achieve daily goals.

Essential:

  • People Management Skills, such as coaching, feedback, setting and agreeing SMART objectives, team briefings and performance reviews
  • Shift handover and report writing
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally
  • Track record of managing teams within a manufacturing environment

Desirable:

  • Advance Food Hygiene
