Responsibilities:

ROLE DETAILS – FIRST LINE MANAGER

We are currently looking for a motivated First Line Manager to join an agile third-party logistics organisation based in Stoke on a Permanent contract.
As a First Line Manager, your responsibilities will include managing and leading a team of warehouse staff to ensure high-performance levels. You will motivate and develop team members to the highest standards, enhancing their skill sets, engagement, and future growth opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FIRST LINE MANAGER

  • Oversee operational procedures.
  • Resolve immediate operational issues.
  • Uphold quality procedures.
  • Plan employee and third-party resource levels to meet operational targets.
  • Generate daily operational reports.
  • Achieve productivity KPIs.
  • Conduct regular briefing meetings with employees to communicate relevant information.
  • Implement and monitor the effectiveness of the Health and Safety policy.
  • Efficiently manage a team of approximately 40 operatives
  • Assist in employee recruitment, including conducting interviews and providing induction training.
  • Ensure current employees receive appropriate training.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships.
