Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring First-Line Manufacturing Managers (Level K) to support the 737 Ramp team in Renton, Washington on multiple shifts.
A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while upholding a work environment that promotes safety, quality, accountability, trust, and teamwork.
Within manufacturing we embrace a first-pass quality approach and require our leaders to be committed to our team members’ success. FOD-free product and Clean as You Go are also mandatory components of our production system, which require steadfast commitment to our standards, our people, and our customers. This role will support the 737 Ramp team, maintaining responsibility for tactical execution of compliance strategy, and may provide direct support within production/manufacturing as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role.
  • 1+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work any shift assigned, including overtime and weekends.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • 737 Program experience.
  • Demonstrated adaptability when faced with new challenges.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and forge connections when under pressure.
  • Passion for celebrating successes and ability to identify “small wins” for the team.
  • Experience with compliance metrics and process documentation.

SUMMARY PAY RANGE: $115,900 - $134,200

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Leads, develops, and motivates employees.
