Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking First-Line Product & Services Quality Managers (Level K) to develop and administer the quality system that ensures and manages the integrity of company products and services. The team is located in Renton and Everett, Washington and the position may require occasional travel between sites and to supplier locations.
The successful candidate will lead inspection teams supporting multiple programs at either the Everett or Renton sites depending on business needs for Supplier Product Assurance operations, on either 1st or 2nd shift. This position includes Receiving Inspection, Standards Mechanical Test, and Machined Parts Inspection. This role will collaborate across shifts and programs, working in a matrix organization within Supplier Quality in addition to working with Supply Chain, Everett, Renton, Charleston, and Fabrication programs to ensure quality of externally purchased product to be incorporated into production. This position requires knowledge of Quality and Supplier Quality requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • 3+ years in leadership or management role
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation (either 1st or 2nd shift)
  • Willing and able to travel 10% of the time both domestically and internationally

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • 3+ years working within procedures aimed at showing/finding compliance to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations
  • Proficiency-level experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Skilled at giving executive-level presentations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Supply Chain experience
  • Project Management experience

Responsibilities:

  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services, and processes align with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations.
  • Develops and carries out business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
  • May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies.
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, partners, peers, suppliers, and direct reports.
