DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) is hiring a financial analyst to fill a Fixed Utility Financial Analyst Trainee (FUFA Trainee) position within the PUC’s Bureau of Technical Utility Services (TUS). TUS FUFA Trainees will work with senior FUFAs and other staff on developing a working knowledge of the state and federal regulatory policies and environment as it pertains to the water, wastewater, and stormwater industry and jurisdictional utilities. FUFA Trainees will learn how to review and evaluate the filings submitted by fixed utilities as well as financial statements and reports pertaining to the water, wastewater, and stormwater industry. FUFA Trainees will also learn how to prepare written orders, reports, memos, and other documents for internal and external stakeholders on topics and issues related to water, wastewater and stormwater service.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor’s degree with major course work in accounting, economics, finance, or business administration, which included or is supplemented by 15 credit hours in finance related coursework.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
