We are seeking an experienced Fleet Administrator to join the team at our HQ in Uddingston. As a Fleet Administrator you will play a crucial role in managing the company’s fleet of vehicles efficiently. You will be responsible for coordinating vehicle maintenance, managing driver schedules, overseeing fuel usage, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a good eye for detail.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Previous experience in fleet administration, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and fleet management software.
  • A positive individual with a “can do” attitude.
  • Strong organisational skills and a good eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices in fleet management would be a big plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of all vehicles, including registration, insurance, and maintenance history.
  • Coordinate vehicle inspections, repairs, and routine maintenance to ensure the fleet’s optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Schedule and track vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Manage fuel cards and monitor fuel consumption to optimise fuel efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with drivers and other relevant stakeholders to address any fleet-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies regarding vehicle operation, maintenance, and safety.
  • Generate reports on fleet performance, including maintenance costs, fuel usage, and vehicle utilisation, to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the procurement of new vehicles and equipment, including researching options, obtaining quotes, and coordinating purchases.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, and record keeping.
