We are interested in hiring a Fleet Manager who can work closely with our contract and internal employees to minimize expenditures and deliver the highest possible level of service to our customers. The successful candidate will streamline processes to keep costs down, but still deliver the level of service our group comes to expect. They will be responsible for meeting regularly with our operations and maintenance team members to discuss ways to meet or exceed corporate revenue goals.
The Fleet Manager reports directly to the Vice-President, Utilities, Fleet & IT, and is responsible for the overall management and administration of Clearway’s fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles, as well as rentals. Responsibilities include charge-out costing, performance analytics, leasing and procurement. The incumbent will also manage the Fleet Administration team and work closely with the Fleet Operations Manager with respect to preventive maintenance and repairs.
Location: Clearway’s Logistics Yard – Concord, ON.
Hours of Operation: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in Construction, ideally with 3+ years in a Fleet Management role
  • Demonstrated organizational, administrative and time management background.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, light vehicles, and support equipment beneficial.
  • In-depth knowledge of all CVOR requirements such as logbooks, hours of service, cargo security, pre- and post-trip inspections processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology including computers and computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel) as well as the ability to learn new and company specific computer programs.
  • Prior experience using fleet management systems, including Texada and Hilti Ontrack is an asset.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Adept at multitasking and prioritizing amidst competing demands
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada – no work permit sponsorship is available for this position
