Description:
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Safety is first priority and the Fleet Manager has the authority and the accountability for taking necessary decisions that ensure constant safe operation
- Responsible for, and has the authority to, deliver full ship management service to the Customer
- Be the link between the Customer and his/her ship and the responsible person for ensuring that the Customer fully benefits from the operational performance of his/her ship
- Train, encourage, mentor and develop the fleet team and the leadership on board
- Take responsibility to ensure all third party inspections (SIRE, CDI, PSC etc.) are passed with a minimum number of observations.
- Ensure that the Fleet and Vessels (along with Superintendents) are adequately and competently staffed with requisite experience
- Responsible for approving the Fleet’s annual Vessel Operating Budgets prior to submission to the client in accordance with their budget timetable
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Hold Class one Chief Engineer Unlimited license
- 5 years shore based experience in a Marine related company (Technical Superintendent or equivalent)
- Must extensive experience of Offshore Vessels (PSV/DSV/AHTS etc)
- Proven management experience and must have excellent leadership and people management skills, be able to coach & mentor staff
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, interact and lead people at all levels
- Committed to delivering a quality service, controlling costs/budgets and providing value for money
This is a new role due to growth and there are plans to expand further in the near future. The role is based in the Abu Dhabi office and offers an excellent package
