Company Description
Support SEGULA Technologies UK Rail Engineering team, working as a Fleet Support Engineer for one of SEGULA Technologies valued clients. You will be required to support operational service and help monitor LRV performance at an LRV and sub system level. You will report to the Fleet Engineer Manager. Review/update existing documentation such as Technical Instructions, Production Queries, fault finding manuals and vehicle maintenance instructions.
The job will be located at the Operators depot. Travel may be required to other depots occasionally, Night shift may be expected from time to time, to understand root cause of electrical faults, to allow fault finding solutions to be documented and resolved by the engineering department. However, will be flexible to allow the engineer to progress.
We are looking for a competent engineer who can be office based and work with the production operatives, digest the root cause and write fault finding manuals and update relevant engineering documentation.

Job Description

  • Support Production operatives undertaking LRV failure trend analysis and failure root cause analysis.
  • Log & Document electrical faults and the sequence of trouble shooting to achieve the root cause analysis.
  • Raising and resolving allocated FRACAS items that are raised in relation to corrective maintenance.
  • Integrating, leading and directing reliability engineering initiatives to improve parts availability, manage the obsolescence plan, reduce equipment downtime and reduce cost.
  • Assisting with troubleshooting problems, discrepancies and investigations of failure modes and/or non-conformances.
  • Liaising with Group projects and applying personal experience to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Managing trials and testing of new systems and products
  • Developing standard procedures for rectification of common defects.
  • Reviewing repeat defects and provide technical support for rectification.
  • Developing return to service plans for long-term stopped trams.
  • Supporting training and development of technical staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualified to Degree / HNC / HND standard in the relevant discipline.
  • 3-5 years’ experience working on Rolling Stock on-board integration projects or rollingstock maintenance background.
  • Experience with Electrical / Electro-Mechanical systems.
