The Flight & Field Operations Specialist is responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating flight operation activities at Zeitview, Inc. The primary function of the incumbent is to ensure the industry leadership of Zeitview image & data capture capabilities by training network pilots to the highest standards. Aspects include safety, remote pilot training, mission planning with Ops Coordinators, forecasting equipment requirements & specifications, regulatory compliance, company policy, technology development/testing and logistical support. The Flight & Field Operations Specialist must be an accomplished image data capture professional and remote pilot who possesses the right demeanor to train and mentor field personnel and understands the end-to-end workflows to successfully collect data, perform analysis and make strategic recommendations across all vertical

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Industry recognized Certifications and/or training would be a highly regarded (i.e. FAA Part 107)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while also meeting rigid deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to different working environments is essential
  • Experience with implementing and managing against client Scope of Work (SOW) objectives
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and individuals and come to a consensus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Includes up to 75% domestic travel in support of the pilot training
  • Be able to easily lift 70 lbs
  • Be able to sit and stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure pilots are trained on standardized workflows and defined safety practices and prepared for upcoming projects
  • Supervise internal and contractor pilots, including in-field quality performance checks and the adherence to safety practices and standardization
  • Coordinate cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure pilot and aircraft resources are allocated in a timely and efficient manner, to ensure mission success and maximize use of existing resources
  • Provide estimates for Flight Operations level of effort and cost of operations to maintain adequate capacity and capabilities in the pilot bench to meet demand.
  • Determine collection strategy for projects based on requirements of the project.
  • Support project scoping and project requirements
  • Maintain and publish current statuses using an effective pilot/mission tool that is available to all stakeholders.
  • Plan and assist in the development of flight operations training and workflows.
  • Administer and contribute to Flight Operations OKRs.
  • All other duties as assigned
