European Air Transport Leipzig GmbH (EAT) is a subsidiary of DHL Group. It is an aircraft maintenance company as well as a cargo airline. The fleet of EAT Leipzig consists of 36 aircraft, including Airbus A300-600, A330-200 and Boeing 757. Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill all legal requirements of Flight Data Monitoring,
  • Administrator of Flight Data Monitoring System,
  • Maintain open liaison with external bodies, such as Civil Aviation Authorities (LBA), airlines, IATA, Flight Safety Foundation, etc.,
  • Prepare and lead interdepartmental FDM Safety Action Groups,
  • Develop and continuously improve the Flight Operations and Maintenance part of the FDM System (advanced IT programming),
  • Collect and process FDM data,
  • Perform statistical analyses,
  • Analyze, investigate and report the results,
  • Develop and monitor safety performance indicators,
  • Perform flight studies for serious event analysis,
  • Consult service for Flight Crews, Flight Crew Training Department, Flight Operations Department, Engineering Department,
  • Assist with the investigation of accidents and incidents,
  • Publish FDM Bulletin to Flight Crews and daily reports for the Safety Manager,
  • Define and improve departmental processes,
  • Represent the company on FDM and safety matters, i.e. meetings & conferences with external national and international bodies
