European Air Transport Leipzig GmbH (EAT) is a subsidiary of DHL Group. It is an aircraft maintenance company as well as a cargo airline. Responsibilities:
- Fulfill all legal requirements of Flight Data Monitoring,
- Administrator of Flight Data Monitoring System,
- Maintain open liaison with external bodies, such as Civil Aviation Authorities (LBA), airlines, IATA, Flight Safety Foundation, etc.,
- Prepare and lead interdepartmental FDM Safety Action Groups,
- Develop and continuously improve the Flight Operations and Maintenance part of the FDM System (advanced IT programming),
- Collect and process FDM data,
- Perform statistical analyses,
- Analyze, investigate and report the results,
- Develop and monitor safety performance indicators,
- Perform flight studies for serious event analysis,
- Consult service for Flight Crews, Flight Crew Training Department, Flight Operations Department, Engineering Department,
- Assist with the investigation of accidents and incidents,
- Publish FDM Bulletin to Flight Crews and daily reports for the Safety Manager,
- Define and improve departmental processes,
- Represent the company on FDM and safety matters, i.e. meetings & conferences with external national and international bodies
