THE OPPORTUNITY
Boeing Defence Australia is seeking competent, qualified, experienced and motivated team members as to join the CH-47F SG (Chinook) Maintenance and Logistics Support program in Australia.
The program will located at the Army Aviation Centre Oakey, Queensland in support of a new Boeing Defence Australia customer. Operational members on this program will also be required to support deployed operations within Australia for periods of 6 to 12 weeks each year.
Persons applying for this role may also be required to work day shift, afternoon shift and night shift hours during the week
This advertisement is specifically seeking responses from candidates for the position of Flight Line Maintenance Coordinator.
All candidates will be assessed for their relevant qualifications and experience. Equally important, candidates will be assessed on their cultural fit and their alignment with Boeing values.
Responsibilities:
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills, or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 5 years aviation experience in aircraft maintenance and flight line operations
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative, prioritise and work to tight timeframes with limited supervision
- Demonstrated success in the development of effective working relationships within a complex organisational structure to meet team, business unit and organisational goals
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance / modification operating procedures and documentation
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
- Demonstrated experience in using Technical Manuals / Publications in the repair of Aeronautical product and systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical directives
- Capable in obtaining a Department of Defence security clearance
- Able to speak, read and write fluent English
- A positive attitude to Environmental Health & Safety (ISO14001 principles) in the workplace
- High Professional Standards i.e. Attention to Detail, Self-Motivated, Workplace behaviour
- Demonstrated ability to apply well developed problem solving skills to a variety of technical issues / problems
- Ability to meet all the security requirements for ITARS (as required)
