We manage the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry, and the Sydney Showground. The RAS has a team of over 130 full-time staff and an indispensable pool of casual staff who work on the Easter Show, and other Sydney Showground events.

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE…
We are currently seeking an experienced Floor Manager to join our Events team. As part of this role you will be responsible for managing our onsite clients and overseeing on the ground delivery of events held at Sydney Showground. You will also be required to liaise with our internal departments to facilitate a successful event delivery plan.
Sydney Showground operates events day and night across the year. This means you will be required to have the flexibility to work an event based roster, and be available days and nights. This is a hands on role and physical capability will be required for venue preparations.
To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:
- Tertiary Qualification in Venue / Event Management or related field or proven experience in a similar role within the venue and events industry
- Previous knowledge and experience in major events
- Current and valid driver’s licence
- Current and valid forklift licence in this state
- Current Senior First Aid certificate (desirable)
- Sound knowledge and understanding of WHS requirements
- Experience / exposure with ushering and/or crowd management
- Proven history of being punctual & reliable with an outstanding work ethic
- Ability to manage and address clients concerns in an appropriate and timely manner
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Be able to work both autonomously and within a team environment
- Be energetic and committed
- Be able to work weekdays, weekends and late nights
- Have a positive “can do” attitude
- Be legally entitled to live & work in Australia
- Be willing to undertake a police clearance check if require
