Description:

Location: Costa Rica (Preference for candidates based in Costa Rica)
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the operations of our five restaurants and four bars. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership presence, with a focus on team development and operational excellence. This role requires fluency in both Spanish and English , as well as experience working in Latin America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of five restaurants and four bars, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of restaurant and bar staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and control costs through effective ordering and inventory management practices.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance team performance and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a strong focus on cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in all F&B outlets.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including revenue projections, budget variance analysis, and profit margins.
  • Foster positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience (minimum 5 years) in food and beverage management, preferably in a multi-outlet environment.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of F&B operations, including menu development, inventory management, and cost control.
  • Experience working in Latin America, with a deep understanding of regional preferences and culinary trends.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and F&B management software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
