The Position
Title: Food and Domestic Assistant
Department: Corporate Services
Classification: Health & Allied, Managers & Admin Workers EA

Applications are sought from suitably qualified food services staff with previous experience to work in the Corporate Services department at Echuca Regional Health.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Basic food preparation;
  • Cooking of basic meals;
  • Cleaning of food preparation and consumption areas and cooking equipment and utensils;
  • Serving and delivery of meals;
  • Follow all prescribed Food safety and hygiene policies / procedures;
  • Participate in departmental and organisational meetings as required;
  • Follow task list and / or work schedule allocated to your area;
  • Be aware of and respect patient / visitor privacy;
  • Complete and maintain all relevant documentation as required and determined by the area of work;
  • Other duties as directed;
  • Participate in all training requirements as directed

    Our team requires someone who has:

  • Current HLTFSE001- Follow Basic Food Safety Practice

  • Ability to meet and work to deadlines and within set timelines as required
  • Ability to operate in an environment of change
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Practice active listening and empathy
  • Previous food service experience

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment. In addition, this position requires evidence of vaccination status for COVID-19.
