The Position
Title: Food and Domestic Assistant
Department: Corporate Services

Applications are sought from suitably qualified food services staff with previous experience to work in the Corporate Services department at Echuca Regional Health.
Key responsibilities include:
- Basic food preparation;
- Cooking of basic meals;
- Cleaning of food preparation and consumption areas and cooking equipment and utensils;
- Serving and delivery of meals;
- Follow all prescribed Food safety and hygiene policies / procedures;
- Participate in departmental and organisational meetings as required;
- Follow task list and / or work schedule allocated to your area;
- Be aware of and respect patient / visitor privacy;
- Complete and maintain all relevant documentation as required and determined by the area of work;
- Other duties as directed;
Participate in all training requirements as directed
Our team requires someone who has:
Current HLTFSE001- Follow Basic Food Safety Practice
- Ability to meet and work to deadlines and within set timelines as required
- Ability to operate in an environment of change
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Practice active listening and empathy
- Previous food service experience
This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment. In addition, this position requires evidence of vaccination status for COVID-19.
