Job Description
Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is nestled within the majestic Canadian Rockies and offers our guests a truly unrivaled travel destination. The Food & Beverage & Kitchen administrator assists with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge’s F&B team to ensure all of our stakeholders needs are met.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Knowledge of the duties of all Front Office and Guest Services areas
  • Knowledge of F&B operations required
  • Proficiency in Opera PMS required
  • Proficiency in Opera Sales & Catering an asset
  • Hospitality diploma/degree is an asset
  • Current First Aid certification an asset
  • Completion of Train the Trainer, Interaction Management an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Liaise with Assistant Director of F&B & Executive Chef to ensure we are achieving our VOG, LQA, and Budget
  • Participate in the creation, implementation and follow up on action plans related to EES feedback
  • Collaborate with Restaurant Outlet Managers & Sous Chefs to ensure that each outlet’s vision and goals are achieved
  • Effectively communicates the offering for all food and beverage outlets within the hotel
  • Assists in the development of menu packages to drive outlet business
  • Active participation in department head and F&B and Kitchen departmental meetings, team building efforts and other activities
  • Ensure that VIP profile and requests are distributed to the F&B & Kitchen operations team
  • Ensure all allergy and special dietary requests are communicated to the F&B & Kitchen operations team
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required
  • Providing administrative support to the F&B & Kitchen teams.
  • Monitoring and maintaining payroll, vacation and statutory holiday records for the F&B & Kitchen department.
  • Manage employee files and make sure all appropriate paperwork is completed
  • Attending meetings as minute-taker
  • Posting and updating all information in departments and on communication board, and maintaining these spaces
  • Further developing and maintaining a constructive, harmonious and communicative working relationship between departments
  • Coordinate menu design and marketing efforts of printing and distribution in a timely manner
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned
