REQUIREMENTS:

• Gathers analyses and maintains product and technology market trend information.
• Responds to & interprets creative briefs provided by category lead to develop new concepts and products that support market calendar pipeline/food strategy.
• Leverages, drives, and manages supplier base to develop new concepts and innovation.
• Coordinates bench top experiments and tests, including, product prototypes, product guidance testing recommendations, plant trials and in-market testing to develop operational procedures.
• Identifies and briefs potential suppliers and manages their development of key ingredients and products.
• Establishes key technical performance indicators and measures to ensure progress to commercialisation and implementation
• Support with pre-production and first production and ensure product quality is adhered to.
• Maintains projects file-develops technical manual and documents any intellectual property for all new development projects.

• Educated to at least degree level in a food science or related discipline.
• Experience in either food/beverage retail or manufacturing product development.
• Experience in chilled ready to eat products an advantage.
• This experience should include bench top to full scale commercialization, process and specification development, product development and/or menu development.
• Passion for Food & Innovation
• Have an ability to work in a fast-moving environment, either on their own or cross-functionally
• Have excellent project management, communication, and organisational skills.
• Can function successfully during times of uncertainty and changing priorities.

ROLE:

To contribute to Starbucks success in the UK market by supporting, planning, and executing project assignments within the food category. This role is a hybrid, based between your home and our office in Chiswick with the requirement of ad hoc travel to our stores.
