JOB OVERVIEW:

The Food Service Leader is a salaried position reporting to the District Leader.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Previous food experience.
  • At least 6 months experience leading a team in food service environment.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

  • Provides excellent guest service in a fast and friendly manner and coaches team members to do the same.
  • Maintains a clean restaurant environment by cleaning and performing general housekeeping duties. Assigns shift duties to team members and follows up to ensure completion.
  • Directs team and ensures all food items are prepared and served in accordance with all Brand, Company, and health department regulations.
  • Coaches team members to follow guidelines for food preparation and production management.
  • Ensures product quality, food safety, and operational standards are met.
  • Ensures all food costs and food waste numbers are in line with company goals.
  • Monitors and ensures accuracy of inventory control records for the duration of the shift. Completes end of shift and end of day paperwork and counts as required.
  • Guarantees a safe environment for team members and guests by following all government laws and safety codes.
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance in the store, kitchen, and dining areas.
  • Ensure the cooler, store shelves and displays are clean, fully stocker and fronted.
  • Notify District Leader of any maintenance problems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate by talking and hearing. This position is very active and requires constant standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and some climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 40 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
