Food Service Worker

JOB OVERVIEW:

Assemble, accurately check meal trays and serve trays for hospital patients and job-related responsibilities as assigned. Completes sanitation duties.
Occasionally works in office and kitchen. Maybe exposed to extreme temperatures and wet floors in kitchen. Exposure to patient population where universal precautions are in effect.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Multitasks
• Excellent customer service skills

Preferred:

• Food Service experience

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

• Shift Working 7:00am -3:30pm every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) must work holiday if you are scheduled to work that day
• Days to work vary
• Full Time

• Completes the daily work assignments according to the work schedule, including sanitation assignment
• Maintains a neat and clean work area
• Properly stores all food items according to department policy
• Plastic gloves are used when handling food items
• Restocks assigned station
• Delivers trays in a timely manner
• Addresses the patient by the name on the menu
• Check for NPO signs above the bed
• Checks for trays in patient rooms and floor pantries to ensure no soiled trays are left on the floors
• If any problems arise, consult with Nurse before taking any action
  Checks patient identification band to verify patient is receiving proper tray.
