FOOTWEAR DEPARTMENT MANAGER

at  Sportsmans Warehouse

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, and math skills are required. This person must be self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Department Managers should also be extremely detailed oriented and have the ability to meet deadlines and work well in a team setting.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma are recommended. An excellent knowledge of Tomax is beneficial, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel is also recommended.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position involves a variety of physical activities including: talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Visual acuity is required for analyzing records and computer monitors. Some heavy lifting is required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This position does not require travel.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Department Manager oversees the day to day operations of their respective department. They will help ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the day to day operations of the department including but not limited to: Interviewing, selecting, training and disciplining employees, setting and adjusting pay rates and work hours.
• Determining, distributing and directing work.
• Manage and maintain department inventories.
