The Foreign Exchange Associate will assist with the sales and trading efforts of the bank’s foreign exchange team in structuring, pricing, and executing foreign exchange products for WSFS customers. The incumbent will price and execute foreign exchange FX transactions (spot and currency hedging instruments) for bank customers ranging from the simple to the complex. This role will work closely with WSFS Capital Markets team’s internal partners to identify and develop business relationships with new prospects and deliver exceptional service to WSFS clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute and book foreign exchange transactions (spot, forwards, options, structured products, etc.).
  • Collaborate on presentation materials for discussions with clients on international payments and currency risk management.
  • Support activities on the FX sales and trading desk as part of a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
  • Collaborate on internal projects and analytical work for customers.
  • Monitor market trends and currency movements to provide clients with up-to-date market insights and risk management options.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to customers.
  • Assist internal partners in ensuring that trade confirmations, payments, and other materials are executed adequately to manage client expectations, while always adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, trading reports, and forecasts.
  • Work closely with various internal teams – relationship managers, wealth advisors, credit risk officers, etc. – to effectively identify, manage, and execute foreign exchange opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in capital markets. Focus on foreign exchange preferred.
  • Must be comfortable manipulating data and able to master several applications and complex products.
  • Must be proficient in using sales CRM systems, Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant software.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to translate financial concepts into simple language and concrete action steps.
  • Must have superior time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities to juggle live transactions and daily tasks.
  • Must have the ability to remain calm and operate effectively under pressure, and a high degree of organization and attention to detail are imperative.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
  • Must have strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Must be quick learner, self-motivated and target-driven with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment and be able to absorb information quickly and accurately.
