Description:

An excellent opportunity exists for a self-motivated individual with an education and training background to lead the delivery of outcomes associated with a firearm examination capability project.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
Mandatory
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Experience and/or qualifications in delivering education, training and assessment.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen or New Zealand Citizen (who have unrestricted rights to employment in Australia) and be able to obtain and maintain a national security clearance.
- The preferred candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment security checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
Responsibilities:
The National Institute of Forensic Science is a directorate within Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency. Our Strategic Intent is to deliver high quality and innovative products, services, and advice to enhance capability, efficiency, and reliability of the forensic sciences for police, justice, and the community.
The forensic project officer will play a critical role in working with firearm practitioners from across Australian policing jurisdictions to review the current National Training Curriculum and identify opportunities to streamline the delivery of training and assessments. This will require the forensic project officer to travel to different policing jurisdictions.
This role can be undertaken remotely from an Australian-based location.
