  • Full time, with minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday with weekend jobs available
  • Competitive remuneration $29.66-$35.00 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be based in Auckland, but may also be required to work in Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Wanganui, Wellington, Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland. This may require the need to travel away from home or relocate.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Safely operate a forklift to move, stack, load, and unload materials and products as per work orders, delivery schedules, or instructions.
  • Transport goods between storage areas, production lines, loading docks, and other designated locations within the facility.
  • Ensure proper handling and secure stacking of materials to prevent damage or accidents, adhering to weight and height restrictions.
  • Conduct pre-operation checks on the forklift, including inspecting tires, brakes, controls, and lifting mechanisms, and report any defects or issues to maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, including the receipt, dispatch, and transfer of goods, using electronic or manual systems as required.
  • Assist in inventory counting, stocktaking, and cycle counting activities to ensure stock accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks.
  • Follow established procedures and safety guidelines for the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials or fragile goods.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized, including aisles, storage racks, and loading docks, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Participate in training sessions and safety briefings to stay informed about forklift operation best practices, regulations, and company policies.
