QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant trade qualification (Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician/Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Diesel Mechanic).
- Previous experience within the forklift industry or similar in an associated industry.
Skills and experience:
- Good diagnostic and repair skills.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Well-developed mechanical aptitude.
- Good time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role in an associated industry.
- Willingness to participate in training programs to increase your product knowledge and understanding of procedures, safe work practices, statutory responsibilities and licensing requirements.
- Commitment to maintaining safe work practices.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We have several postions available for fully qualified Technicians/Mechanics to carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on a range of material handling equipment. This position will be based at one of our customer sites which is a Cold Storage distribution centre in Laverton North.
Ideally you will have worked on material handling equipment previously however not essential, full training would be provided for the successful candiates.
There will be 2 shifts which consist of Mon-Fri, 6am to 2.30pm and Mon-Frid 2pm to 10pm.
Preferably you will need to be based in and around the West or Northwest of Melbourne.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance of customer units which includes preventative service and break-downs in a timely manner.
- Maintain professional level of customer service with all TMHA clients and customers.
- Ability to maintain accurate records of job sheets, timesheets and any other administrative components.
