SUMMARY

Operates an encapsulating machine to produce products from pre-mixed ingredients, insuring proper temperatures, machine settings, equipment set-ups, in process measurements, and quality product.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED or equivalent, plus 1 year of related experience, including troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting machinery.

• Reads job specifications from the Batch Production Record to resolve machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observes machine operation. Makes adjustments as needed. Takes samples of product and performs in process testing.
• Performs all checks as the need arises and documents activities. Is responsible for maintaining all required documentation in accordance with the Work Instructions.
• Assists Set-Up person to set up machine, empty basket and clean and prepare machine for changeover. Also assists with the actual changeover.
• Notifies Lead Operator when issues occur with equipment or product. Is responsible for correcting issues effecting product quality.
• Spreads product as required.
• Assists with clean up and other Encapsulation duties as needed. May perform other reasonable, related business duties.
