Wood’s Homes is looking for one (1) full-time Program Manager to join our Foster Care Network program.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Director of Programs the Program Manager is responsible for two or more programs and the general overseeing of all aspects of management, with particular emphasis on program development and quality service delivery. All management positions at Wood’s Homes provide strong leadership towards implementation of activities related to being exceptional in the delivery of high-quality services and demonstrating commitment to the Health and Safety Management System across the organization and within their respective area.
Responsibilities
- Leads and develops programs within the mission and values of Wood’s Homes and in accordance with agency Policies and Procedures, Collective Agreement, Accreditation Standards, etc.
- Provide weekly supervision, staff training, evaluation, recruitment, and disciplinary action necessary within the guidelines set by Senior Management to all program staff.
- Ensures that approved clinical case management and record keeping procedures are practiced according to Wood’s quality improvement guidelines.
- Assists/advises Managers, Supervisors and Programs with day-to-day operations as needed and shares regular on-call responsibilities for the agency.
- Regularly reviews all treatment interventions and case management used in the provision of treatment.
- Assumes responsibility for the development, review, and adherence of the program budget.
- Ensures staff completion of required Health & Safety training and compliance with OHS legislation—in addition to organizational safety strategies and policies.
- Participates in workplace inspections to identify potential hazards, unsafe or unhealthy conditions, and that appropriate hazard controls are implemented; collaborates with staff and joint Health & Safety Committee to ensure corrective measures are monitored and effective.
- Executes other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Programs.
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Sciences or related field at the undergraduate level required (graduate preferred).
- Current proof of professional registration may be required for certain diplomas or degrees.
- Full class 5 driver’s license or class 5 GDL driver’s license with $2 million liability insurance.
- Drivers Abstract with no more than 6 demerits.
- Minimum of five year’ highly developed supervisory skill.
- Experience supporting youth affected by complex trauma through an informed and high-level. understanding of family-based models.
- Experience in youth care and/or clinical work.
- Experience working with collaborative partnerships and essential stakeholders.
